Expert Opinions

Culture-based methods, such as MPN, are not only the standard for measuring disinfection in water treatment, but destruction of reproductive capacity is equivalent to killing – and unquestionably renders harmless – potentially invasive or infectious organisms. Many of the world's foremost water treatment experts have issued letters of support for the MPN method. Furthermore, an undeniable amount of sound research and scientific evidence about its application are readily available.
